    Shafaq News / Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki announced on Wednesday, launching an initiative to resolve the Syrian crisis politically through dialogue, and renewed his warning of any military action targeting the Syrian state.

    “We had previously submitted an initiative to resolve the Syrian crisis as it is necessary to cease-fire and stop supplying any party, whether regime or the opposition with money and weapons,” Maliki said in a televised speech on the Syrian crisis m briefed by "Shafaq News”.

    Maliki called in accordance with the initiative for “ the withdrawal of foreign partied on Syrian territory, and support neutral investigation about the use of chemical weapons, and reject foreign interference in Syrian affairs and any military operation targeting the Syrian state

    ."
    Maliki stressed "the obligation not to use the Arab territories to hit Syria and launch an Arab fund to support the return of refugees and compel the regime and the opposition to a timetable for elections in Syria

    ."
    “We must adopt the mechanism of the international community and the Arab League in the formation of an interim government to be satisfactory from the regime and the opposition and then hold elections, warning of a military strike on Syria,” Maliki added.
