Trade exchange worth 655 million dollars through an Iranian port with the Kurdistan region

The Director General of the customs of the province of Kurdistan, Iran, the value of trade of goods through the port, "Bashmak" with the Kurdistan of Iraq amounted to 655 million dollars during the period of 21 March - 21 December 2017.
Bakhtiar Rahmani Burr said at a meeting against the smuggling of goods in the city of Mariwan (west of Iran) that the volume of exports of goods through the port of Bashmak in the nine months mentioned a growth of 20 percent over the corresponding period 2016.
He pointed out that the value of imports of goods from Iraqi Kurdistan through the port of Bashmak during the period 21 March - 21 January 2017, amounted to 42 million dollars, a growth of 145 percent from the previous year.
He said that the port of Bashmak ranked first in Iran in terms of transit, as the transit of goods to Iraqi Kurdistan amounted to 3 billion and 115 million dollars during the nine months.
