The Chamber of Commerce in Erbil Governorate, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, announced on Thursday that the volume of trade exchange between the region and Turkey reached about 10 billion dollars until September 2024.[/size]
[size=45]This came in a joint press conference by the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce in Erbil, Kamran Bajkar, with a Turkish trade delegation that includes dozens of Turkish companies.[/size]
[size=45]During the conference, Bajker said that Türkiye is a developed country in the industrial, commercial, food and all other sectors, and we seek to enhance trade cooperation with it.[/size]
[size=45]He added that the Chamber of Commerce in Erbil is ready at any time to receive traders from other countries to bring us closer together, adding: Currently, the owners of 32 Turkish companies have come as part of the delegation to introduce themselves and work in the field of trade exchange with Kurdistan.[/size]
[size=45]Bajkar added: We have agreed with the Turkish delegation to provide facilities and cooperation to increase trade exchanges in various sectors and fields according to the customs tariff approved by the federal government.[/size]
[size=45]According to the Erbil Chamber of Commerce, the Turkish trade delegation will then visit Sulaymaniyah, Nineveh, and Baghdad, stressing that the cooperation agreement between the Turkish trade delegation and the Erbil Chamber of Commerce is in the interest of traders in those countries and the Kurdistan Region as a whole.[/size]
[size=45]Bajkar concluded that the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and Turkey reaches 20 billion dollars annually, adding that: The volume of trade exchange between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, up until September of this year, reached 9 billion and 600 million US dollars.[/size]
