    Kuwait Red Crescent pledges $ 2.5 million to Iraq

    The Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society pledged Monday to provide 2.5 million dollars to support the humanitarian situation in Iraq. 
    "The Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society has pledged $ 2.5 million during the NGO Conference to support the humanitarian situation in Iraq," the official KUNA news agency said. 
    The Kuwait conference of donors for the reconstruction of Iraq began Monday with the participation of hundreds of countries and international and regional organizations, which will continue until Wednesday. 
    In parallel, a conference of non-governmental organizations to support the humanitarian situation in Iraq will be held on Monday, with the participation of the President of the Islamic Charitable Organization Abdullah Al-Ma'touq, the Chairman of the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Iraq, Abdul Karim Al-Faisal and the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Partnership for the Middle East and Central Asia , Rashid Khalikov.
