Abadi: The next stage is important for the existence of terrorist threats from within Syrian territory
The Prime Minister of the Armed Forces, Haidar Al-Abbadi, said that the work of our security and military forces is for the security of the citizen, pointing out that "the next stage is a major challenge."
"Abadi praised during his visit to the Special Task Force and its meeting with its leaders on Saturday, the role of division in the fight against security and stability in Baghdad," a statement from his office said.
"You fought in Salah al-Din, the mountains of Makhoul and Tikrit and you achieved victory," he said, adding that "the importance of the next phase and its challenges to the existence of a threat from terrorist cells inside Syria."
"We have achieved victory over terrorism in Iraq, but it is still in Syria and we must eliminate it," he said. "Terrorism wants to be implemented from any gap. We must not allow this and we should be careful and try to thwart it."
