New demands for the Kurds in the financial budget for the next year
The Kurds came out with new demands to approve the draft budget bill for the next year 2019.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, confirmed the existence of materials in the draft budget law, not in favor of the Kurdistan region.
The head of the bloc, Vian Sabri said in a press statement: "In the event of the arrival of the budget of 2019 to the House of Representatives, we will look at some paragraphs with some seriousness, especially as there are a lot of materials that are not in favor of the Kurdistan region," indicating: "Among these materials The name of the northern provinces, and the share of the province of Halabja not placed within the provinces of the region.
Sabri stressed that "the share of the region must return to 17% until a census, and also the sovereign spending of the ruling many, and there should be a quota allocated to the Peshmerga as a weapon and other things, being part of the Iraqi defense system."
"When the budget reaches 2019 to the House of Representatives we will seek and demand these and other changes, after studying the project to balance well and accurately."
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, on Sunday, the approval of the Council on the draft fiscal budget for the year 2019 and referred to the House of Representatives.
