Oil expert: OPEC obliges Baghdad to reduce southern exports when increasing quantities exported through Kurdistan

Oil expert Hamza Al-Jawahiri confirmed on Monday that Baghdad granted the Kurdistan region in the 2019 budget agreement ten times the benefits of oil companies, noting that any oil barrel exported by Kurdistan over the specified quantities prevents OPEC [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] from reducing its exports to the south.
Al-Jawahiri said to / Information / that “the oil agreement in the 2019 budget between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad requires exporting 450,000 barrels, 250 of which are due to Baghdad and 200,000 to companies.”
He explained that "after checking the oil companies 'entitlements, it became clear that the 200,000 barrels are 10 times the companies' entitlements and the rest of the money goes to the region."
