After many citizens have been watching oil prices and their monthly budget, the ZESCO Group of Companies provides some easy advice to help drivers benefit from every fuel tank.
”ZESCO said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of: Radically driving to enhance fuel economy, there are many simple things that you can do, which you should do, that will help you reduce consumption and reduce the number of times you go to gas stations. "
1- Use the air conditioner while driving
There is a common belief that driving and windows open consumes less fuel compared to driving while using the air conditioner. This is incorrect. Driving and windows open at high speeds generate pneumatic resistance and uses more fuel compared to driving and windows are closed with the air conditioner turned on.
2- Tire
inflates according to the recommended levels, this data can be found in your vehicle manual or on a sticker located on the inside of the driver's door. Ideally inflated tires must cling to the road, relieving the pressure on the engine and thereby reducing fuel consumption.
3- Not driving fast
The faster you go, the higher the fuel consumption. You may arrive sooner, but the fuel bill will be much higher. When driving on highways, use the cruise control. This will avoid unnecessary braking or acceleration, and by knowing the appropriate speed for your vehicle, you can set the cruise control to this basis in order to save money on long trips.
4- Do not transport unnecessary items with you, be
sure to remove unnecessary items from your vehicle (baby carriages, work equipment) if you will not use them whenever the vehicle's weight decreases, the fuel efficiency is enhanced.
5- Think about replacing your vehicle that consumes huge amounts of fuel
The advanced engines available today, with turbocharging technology and direct fuel pumping, offer better performance and more power than many large engines in addition to their superior fuel efficiency and emissions.
