Aziz said in a tweet on Twitter: "After the House of Representatives gave me confidence to be Minister of Industry and Minerals, we pledge to do our best to work with the spirit of one team to bring the Iraqi industry to the forefront, activate idle laboratories, and restore the citizen's confidence in the product and the national industry." The new minister added: "Our first slogan will be made in Iraq."
