, the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, confirmed, on Sunday, that demonstrating is a legitimate right and is protected by the state with all its agencies, provided that this right does not lead to damage or threaten public and private property.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that "Al-Kazemi met during his visit to Basra Governorate, a group of young demonstrators who gathered near the gate of the large Faw port project."
Al-Kazemi said, "The right to demonstrate is a legitimate right and is protected by the state with all its agencies, provided that this right does not lead to damage or threaten public and private property."
He directed, "To prepare for a meeting with a delegation chosen by the demonstrators for the purpose of meeting with them in Baghdad, to listen to their demands and find solutions to them." Ended 6/29 N
