Baghdad: Security forces arrested 15 protesters in Basra on Tuesday, a security source said, ahead of a demonstration called by activists in the province.
"Security forces arrested 15 protesters in Basra ahead of a mass demonstration they called for," the source told local media.
"There was an attack on the media, and a camera was broken by the American agency (AP) photographer Nabil al-Jurani," the source added.
"A security force searched the media's phones before they withdrew from the demonstration site," he said.
