The leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Uday Al-Khadran, called on Thursday to announce the results of the investigation with the plan to target Baghdad International Airport, pointing out that there are political parties behind the concealment of the results of the investigation with the perpetrator of the crime of targeting the airport.
Al-Khadran said in an interview with Al-Information, that “the intelligence services arrested a few days ago the planner for the operation to target Baghdad International Airport in security control between Diyala and Salah al-Din, but unfortunately there is silence applied by most of the media, including the government and even the prime minister and politicians, despite the seriousness of the event and its threat to the sovereignty of country.”
He added, "The connection to a well-known political party has become clear and it seems that it is behind the secrecy on the issue and has prompted the tongues to be silent about revealing the seriousness of what is happening in secret, stressing that if the matter was different, and it became clear that this detainee belonged to another party, the situation would change, and we saw the neighboring trumpets buzzing with news and daily reports."
Al-Khadran called for “announcing the results of the investigation with the plan to target Baghdad Airport in public opinion, because silence about what is happening after the exposure of the political connection raises many question marks.”
And an intelligence force had arrested several days ago a person near a security checkpoint between Diyala and Salah al-Din. Information indicates that he is the mastermind of the recent attack on Baghdad International Airport.
