A government official announced, on Friday, the launch of an early plan to dig wells in the Iraqi border cities.
The director of Qazania district (97 km east of Baquba), Mazen Akram, said in an interview with "The Information", that "a precautionary plan was adopted to confront the drought crisis in two of the most important border cities east of Diyala, namely (Mandali - and Qazania) by digging 12 large artesian wells near the neighborhoods.
