Shafaq News/ Salah al-Din farmers complained about the stagnation of the soot crop and its low prices due to the imported product and its control over the governorates markets.
The head of the Union of Farmers' Associations in Salah al-Din, Karim Kurdi al-Dulaimi, told Shafaq News Agency; "The productivity of soggy for the current season is abundant and of high quality with all specifications, but its marketing suffers from depression and low prices compared to the costs of agriculture and its production."
and between al-Dulaimi; "The prices of sophistication have fallen to less than 500 dinars per kilogram due to the dominance of imported sophistication on local markets and the reluctance of merchants and marketers to promote Salah al-Din because of financial costs and Salah al-Din's distance from other provinces."
Al-Dulaimi pointed out that "the sophistication crop is currently spreading widely in the regions of Samarra, Balad, Dujail and Salah al-Din, but farmers have incurred great losses despite the sophistication season, which is not a strategic agricultural season."
Farmers in all Iraqi governorates complain about the chaos of importing agricultural crops and its negative consequences for the local product, which prompted many farmers to refrain from farming due to the mismanagement of the agricultural file in the country.
