A dramatic session of the House of Representatives ended with the postponement of the vote on the decision to extend the exemption of foodstuffs from tax and customs, and to extend the legislative term of the House of Representatives. An additional month in order for the Council to take its legislative and oversight role by including important laws on the agenda of its upcoming sessions.

Unexpectedly, the Parliament postponed the vote on the decision to extend the exemption of foodstuffs from tax and customs, a postponement that came due to the sending of the decision from the previous government and the lack of knowledge of the current government about it, as well as the presence of an excess stock of some materials and goods that are intended to be exempted from tax.

The agenda of the session also included the second reading of the draft Social Security and Retirement Law for Workers, a long-awaited law in the corridors of Parliament as it affects the lives of a large segment of citizens.
