The Speaker of the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, Rewaz Faeq, said that the decision taken by the Iraqi Federal Court, regarding preventing the sending of monthly financial dues to the employees of the Kurdistan Region, distorts the grounds of understanding and agreement between Erbil and Baghdad.
Faeq published on her Twitter account, "In addition to direct harm to the employees of the Kurdistan Region, and to public services for citizens, the decision of the Federal Court distorts the grounds of understanding and agreement between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad and exposes the future of joint work and trust, to fears and doubts."
Yesterday, Wednesday, the Federal Court issued a decision to cancel all decisions issued by the Iraqi government related to sending financial advances to the Kurdistan Region.
The decision was met with sharp resentment at the official and popular levels in the Kurdistan Region, as the regional government considered the decision hostile to the rights of the citizens of the Kurdistan Region and their constitutional financial entitlements, and an affirmation of the continuation of unfair and hostile policies towards the Kurdistan Region, according to a statement.
