Shafaq News/ The coordination framework, which brings together the Shiite political forces except for the Sadrist movement, commented today, Sunday, on the move of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani towards amending some paragraphs of the Iraqi constitution.
The leader in the framework, Mahmoud al-Hayani, told Shafaq News agency, "The amendment of some constitutional paragraphs requires political consensus, and frankly there is no political consensus in this regard, as there are many differences about the amendments of some constitutional paragraphs."

And al-Hayani stated that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani's move towards amending some paragraphs of the Iraqi constitution may raise problems among some Iraqi political forces. There are reservations about this amendment, although the amendment has become a necessity, especially with the presence of many loopholes in the Iraqi constitution. It needs an amendment to close these legal loopholes."
On Sunday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, decided to assign Hassan Nima al-Yasiri as advisor to the Prime Minister on constitutional affairs.
A statement from Al-Sudani's office received by Shafaq News agency stated, "Al-Yasiri will start his work duties by holding meetings and discussions with representatives of the executive and legislative presidencies, as well as deliberating with the judiciary in order to draw features of a road map to make the required constitutional amendments."
