    Shafaq News/ Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said, on Wednesday, that the Iraqi government has taken "important" measures in confronting the Kurdish parties opposing the regime in Tehran that are present on the territory of the Kurdistan Region, expressing at the same time his thanks to Baghdad for its efforts to restore relations Diplomacy between Iran and Saudi Arabia on the one hand, and Iran and Egypt on the other.
    Abdullahian, who arrived in Baghdad on an official visit, said in a joint press conference he held with his Iraqi counterpart, "We thank the Iraqi officials for promoting regional dialogue."



    He pointed out that he had discussed with Hussein with the aim of confronting the terrorist groups present in the Kurdistan Region, adding that the Iraqi government is determined that its country should not be a source and center for threatening neighboring countries, including Iran.
    He added that the central government authorities have taken important measures in this context, and we hope to see soon the implementation of these measures in this context on the ground.
    Abdullahian also welcomed the implementation of the Iraqi Parliament's decision to remove US forces from Iraq, cooperation in the field of transit between Iran and Iraq, and religious tourism, stressing that linking the railway between Shalamcheh and Basra and between Kermanshah and Munthiriya to Baghdad is on the agenda of both parties.
    He expressed his thanks for the efforts made by Baghdad in the framework of strengthening cooperation and dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran on the one hand, and Egypt and Iran on the other hand.
    He said, "We look forward to resuming relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and we thank the Iraqi foreign minister for his efforts to bridge the views between the two parties," indicating that Iraq has always worked to cancel sanctions on Iran and reach final agreements between Iran and European countries.
