Today, Monday, the governor of Al-Muthanna, Ahmed Manfi Judeh, announced the start of signing the commercial declaration for the Arido oil field in the province.
And the media office of the governor stated in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the governor of Muthanna, Ahmed Munfi Judeh, announced from the headquarters of the Ministry of Oil in the capital, Baghdad, the start of signing the commercial declaration for the Arido oil field in Muthanna."
He added, "It is hoped that production will start at about 30,000 barrels per day during the year 2025."
For his part, the governor of Dhi Qar, Muhammad Hadi Al-Ghazi, announced the signing of the commercial declaration for the Iridu field, which is shared between the governorates of Dhi Qar and Al-Muthanna.
Al-Ghazi said, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the signing of the commercial declaration took place in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani, the Governor of Al-Muthanna, and the Russian ambassador in addition to the Japanese Consular Chargé d'Affaires, as well as representatives from the Russian Lukoil company and INPEX." Japanese".
He added, "The field will start producing 30,000 barrels per day to reach its highest production capacity of 250,000 barrels," stressing that "the field will raise the province's production to half a million barrels and will enhance the economic growth of Dhi Qar Governorate by providing job opportunities and increasing the province's allocations of petrodollars." ".
It is noteworthy that the poverty rate in Al-Muthanna Governorate in general reached 52 percent as of the end of last year 2021.
