Earth News / Finance Minister Taif Sami discussed with the German embassy delegation ways of joint cooperation in the field of investment and support for the displaced
The ministry stated, in a statement received by Earth News Agency, that “Minister Taif Sami Muhammad received today, Thursday, April 2, 2023, Chargé d’Affaires of the Federal Embassy of Germany in Baghdad, Mr. Philip Holse Apfel, accompanied by the international director of the German Development Bank, Mrs. Anna Banke.”
She added, "The meeting witnessed the signing of the amendment to an agreement within the German credit facilities projects to assist the return of the displaced in Iraq (GCFI) through the German Development Bank KFW."
And she continued, "The Minister of Finance indicated Iraq's openness to all forms of exchange and trade and economic partnership with the German side, and everything aimed at developing cooperation in the financial and investment sectors and the entry of German companies into development projects in Iraq."
In turn, the German Chargé d'Affaires expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Finance for its interest in continuing the relations of the two countries, stressing his country's keenness to strengthen joint cooperation at various levels, including the file of providing support to the displaced people of Iraq.
