Reducing internet prices for government institutions

Yesterday, Monday, the Minister of Communications, Hayam al-Yasiri, directed a reduction in internet prices by a rate ranging between (25-30%) for all government institutions. A statement by the ministry stated, “Al-Yasiri issued an order to reduce the prices of services provided by the General Company for Communications and Informatics (Internet and Intranet) by a rate ranging between (25-30%) to all ministries and government departments, based on the Prime Minister’s directive that includes supporting the Ministry of Communications in its procedures to develop quality Internet service and lower prices. He added, "The ministry is making unremitting efforts to provide services and all their applications in a secure manner with high stability to all state departments and other entities in various governorates," pointing to "the continuation of national projects to develop the communications and informatics sector."
