The health market is balanced at the intersection of the health supply and demand curves, and the market is then stable and the behavior of customers tends to be better disciplined and fair. The health sector in Iraq faces several challenges, most of which constitute weaknesses that decision-makers must pay attention to and address in the correct manner. In order to develop health services and improve the health situation in the best possible way.
Here, the demand side for health services must be analysed, namely patients of all kinds, as these requesters of health services face the problem of scarcity of health information, that is, the lack of an electronic health system in which the numbers of doctors, their specialties, and locations of their clinics, consulting clinics, laboratories, specialized clinics, and the reputation of doctors and their medical staff are clearly stated. , support staff, nurses’ information, medical devices and their types and features, medical experience and qualifications, fees for all medical examinations and examinations, and other information that is available to those seeking health services.
There is also the absence of a unified health system in pricing treatments and all types of medicines, which leaves the perception of those seeking health services ambiguous about the prices of treatments in pharmacies. Are they compatible or subject to extortion and theft?
Therefore, a modern electronic health system should be developed that addresses these issues transparently, puts all health services at their prices at the disposal of beneficiaries, and removes the state of confusion and ambiguity that exists in the beneficiaries’ perceptions regarding the safety and fairness of the health system.
With regard to the supply side, health services of all kinds need an innovative marketing system other than social media and individual platforms that displays innovations, medical expertise, surgical operations and other health services locally, regionally and internationally, which leads to an increase in the number of beneficiaries of this health system on the one hand, and on the other hand. The health system being characterized by transparency and credibility reduces cases of manipulation, collusion, blackmail, vulgar marketing and health corruption.
