, Kar Oil Company, has prepared a plan to end the burning of associated gas and reach a production of 250 cubic meters per day within 18 months.
The company’s production director, Muhammad Salah al-Din, told “Al-Sabah”: The company has a group of oil projects, as it is currently working on the “Khormala” oil and gas project, noting that there is an electrical station within this project with a production capacity of one thousand megawatts.
He added that the region is witnessing extensive developments in the field of gas burning, investment and use in power generation, in addition to equipping the Kirkuk and Nineveh governorates.
Salah al-Din pointed out that “CAR” has begun collecting the associated gas in most of the places and companies where it is burned and treated, and then sending it to the treatment plants to be ready and then to the electricity stations located within the region.
He stated that the company has included in its plan to reach the stage of completely ending the burning of associated gas, in addition to reaching production to 250 barrels per day by controlling all quantities of burned gas within 18 months.
