The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has determined the procedures for entry of foreign workers according to specializations in order to make way for national workers to work at a rate of 50% for each, while it indicated that the volume of registered foreign workers has reached more than 40 thousand workers.
The Ministry's official spokesman, Najm Al-Aqabi, told Al-Sabah: The Ministry is working to receive employers' requests for foreign workers, provided that they are skilled workers, noting that the instructions were set with the aim of giving leeway to national workers, so the foreign workers must be skilled and have specializations. Specified in the database of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training.
He stated that if there are no specializations for foreign workers, they will not be allowed to enter, and this is in order to make room for national workers, noting that it was agreed that it should be 50% for each. Al-Aqabi pointed out that the Ministry is working through the electronic links published on its website and the Work and Vocational Training page in order to simplify the review procedures for registering foreign workers.
