[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Minister of Trade Athir Dawood Al-Ghariri confirmed today, Saturday, that the idea of establishing shopping centers is a strategic step aimed at enhancing competition between the private and public sectors and works to combat the phenomenon of rising prices in local markets.
The Ministry of Trade said in a statement: "Minister of Trade Athir Dawood Al-Ghariri inspected the cooperative "hypermarket" shopping center projects in the areas of Al-Amel, Al-Dabash, Al-Rusafa and Sadr City, and reviewed the completion rates of the final stages of these projects and their opening times," noting that "the minister stressed during his inspection visit and meeting with the technical staff supervising their completion on the necessity of adhering to their completion times and those planned in the government program."
The minister stressed - according to the statement - that "these vital projects come within the ministry's efforts to enhance the commercial infrastructure and provide advanced supported and competitive shopping services to citizens in various areas of Baghdad."
He pointed out that "the idea of establishing shopping centers is a strategic step aimed at enhancing competition between the private and public sectors and contributes to creating a balanced commercial environment that works to combat the phenomenon of rising prices in local markets, in addition to its contribution to rethinking traders and importers about prices; due to the existence of a government-supported alternative."
The statement added, "During his inspection tour, the Minister directed to highlight the Ministry's efforts in opening these markets in partnership with the private sector and the services it will provide to support and serve low-income groups and other groups in a modern and advanced manner, in addition to the job opportunities it will provide to young people." /End8[/rtl]
