The Ministry of Transport announced today, Saturday, that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani had issued a directive, during his presence in Karbala, to continue the reverse delegation process for two additional days, while clarifying the tasks of its companies and their ongoing staff inside and outside the holy city.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Transport, Maitham al-Safi, said: "The Prime Minister directed, during his presence in the city this evening, to continue the reverse delegation process and the service effort supporting the visit for two additional days," noting that "the Ministry of Transport is participating in this process with 650 buses and 16 trains, as well as 130 trucks through the General Company for Land Transport, in addition to an additional effort represented by sea transport."
He added that "the process continues by air through the General Company for the Management of Iraqi Airports at its three main airports, Baghdad, Najaf and Basra, in addition to the efforts of the General Company for the Management of Private Transport from several axes towards Baghdad and Najaf, as well as the border crossings."
He continued, "The service and logistical efforts of the ministry also participated in supporting the visit through the General Company for Iraqi Ports, the General Company for Implementation of Transport Projects, and also the General Company for Iraqi Airways. The ministry's employees mobilized their energies on the ground in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Transport based on the directives of the Prime Minister to remain inside Karbala and continue the delegation process and stay for two additional days to ensure the smooth transport of visitors and their arrival to their governorates."
