Shafaq News/ The Kirkuk branch for the distribution of petroleum products affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced on Friday the distribution of nearly 300,000 fuel cards since the adoption of the electronic card.
The Director of the Distribution Department authorized to manage the Kirkuk branch for distributing petroleum products, Engineer Ali Mohammed Rabie, told Shafak News Agency, "The distribution of fuel cards for gasoline will begin next week for people who submitted their applications in September and the first half of October." He explained that "the distribution will be in the form of batches, which contributes to organizing the process and facilitating the receipt of cards for those entitled to it." He pointed out that "the committees will work to shorten the time and reduce the effort to speed up the printing process as quickly as possible, with the aim of serving citizens better."
The Director of the Distribution Department, who is authorized to manage the Kirkuk branch, revealed that “the cards printed for Kirkuk Governorate since the system was implemented at fuel stations amounted to approximately 300,000 cards, and with regard to the new batch that will be distributed in the coming weeks, it is estimated at 6,000 cards.”
It is noteworthy that Kirkuk Governorate follows the fuel card system in providing regular, improved and super gasoline through government and constructed stations. This is a procedure that comes to ensure the smooth distribution of gasoline and reduce congestion. The vehicle’s share is about 50 liters, which it receives every five days, with a reduction in the days of preparation for taxi owners, as they work daily and travel a lot.
