Kuwait's emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent cables of condolences to President Fuad Masum and Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi, expressing his country's condemnation and condemnation of the terrorist bombing in the Karrada district of central Baghdad, which resulted in dozens of casualties.
The Emir reiterated Kuwait's firm stance in rejecting terrorism in all its forms and standing with the international community to fight it and dry its sources. Kuwait stands by Iraq and supports all measures it takes to confront these terrorist acts aimed at destabilizing its security and stability, asking the Almighty to accept the victims of this terrorist attack. The Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also sent two condolences to Masoum and Abadi, including condolences and sincere condolences to the victims of the terrorist bombing in the Karrada district of central Baghdad, asking the victims to spare his mercy and comfort them.
Prime Minister Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also sent two similar condolences.
On the evening of Monday 29 May 2017, the Karrada district of central Baghdad witnessed a terrorist explosion with a booby-trapped vehicle targeting the seals, killing 13 civilians and wounding more than 40 others.
