Abadi: The crowd will not participate in the elections and I did not agree with him

     Baghdad / Range

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi denied yesterday the negotiations on the introduction of the popular crowd within the alliances to be included in the upcoming elections. He stressed that the candidates within the current lists are "not a crowd, but politicians volunteered to fight Daqash," reiterated his commitment to hold elections on the constitutional date. "We have been prevented from using the crowd for political purposes, and those who ran for elections are not a crowd but volunteer politicians who have volunteered to fight," Abadi said at his weekly press conference and his follow-up. "We have not changed our program and it is continuing to follow the elections and we are opening the candidacy for all the citizens who have qualifications," he said, stressing at the same time "we are working to strengthen the Iraqi political decision" . Abadi called on citizens to "hand over their electoral cards to prevent any manipulation" , Pointing out that "our duty to ensure the independence of the Electoral Commission and its staff," stressing that "not to postpone the date of parliamentary elections." On the participation of the popular crowd in the upcoming elections, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, "there were no negotiations on the introduction of popular mobilization in the elections," noting that "the common consensus is to be limited to the state and the fight against corruption."
