    The Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Thursday, issued laws and legislation to ban the import of juices, beverages, mineral water and beverages of all kinds, revealing the existence of 1000 plants to produce these materials.

    Moussa pointed out that the entry of products from outside Iraq was caused by operational problems "which allow border crossings to smuggle these materials despite the ban on their import by a decision of the Economic Affairs Committee and approved by the Council of Ministers."
    He added that "the House of Representatives has initiated within the federal budget law for 2019 and under Article 60 first (to prevent the importation of products of the food industry refreshments, juices, dates, fruits and vegetables which have a similar local product covering the needs of the local market) The products added that the Ministry of Industry and Minerals has carried out all its duties by making recommendations to the Council of Ministers to protect local producers and manufacturers of these materials.
