- The total wheat for the first, second and third grades received on Saturday and Sunday by farmers in the provinces reached 8521 tons, Commerce Minister Dr. Mohammad Hashim al-Ani said.
Al-Ani stressed that the coming days will witness with increasing temperatures the increase in harvest rate accompanied by an increase in marketing operations and preparations to receive the quantities marketed.
He explained that the overall marketing position of soft wheat first class, which was received on 21 April amounted to 4621, while the total soft wheat second class during the same day 217 tons.
He added that the total first-class wheat received on April 22 amounted to 3499 tons, while the second-class wheat amounted to 106 tons, while the third-class wheat received during the same day, 18 tons.
Al-Ani pointed out that the total marketing of the wheat of the first class was 8120 tons, while the total marketing of wheat second class 383 tons and the total marketing of wheat third degree 18 tons, to be the total marketing of the wheat at three degrees 8521 tons.
He pointed out that Silawat Rifai, Dhi Qar, Muthanna and Amara are receiving new quantities of local wheat as part of the marketing campaign to receive the wheat crop, while the marketing centers in Diwaniyah and Karbala started receiving the first quantities of grain marketed by farmers and farmers.
Minister Al-Ani explained that the rate of marketing did not reach the peak rate due to weather conditions that delayed the maturity of the crop, expressing the hope that in the coming days and with higher temperatures, the increase in harvest accompanied by an increase in marketing.
