The parliamentary legal committee confirmed today that the proposal to amend and increase pensions reached the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, pointing out that the proposal in accordance with the approval of the government and its legislation in parliament, it will make the minimum pension 600 thousand instead of 400 thousand.

Committee member Wajih Abbas said in a press statement, "We proposed to amend the law No. 9 of 2014, where there are 21 amendments, in order to be the lowest pension 600 thousand instead of 400 thousand."

Noting that "the law has been completed discussion within the Legal Committee after the development of amendments, in addition to that there are eight amendments submitted by the President of the National Pension Ahmed Al-Saadi, and was incorporated within the amendments."

He explained that "the amendments were handed over to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers because they are related to financial matters, in order to deliver them to the government, and then be returned to Parliament to be followed reading read first and second and vote on them," noting that "the law will be implemented after publication in the newspaper facts, But is still a proposal so far, and waiting for the government's decision to move it within parliament. "
