, on Sunday, the Kurdistan Regional Authorities reopened the third border crossing with Iran, which was closed more than two months ago to contain the Corona virus.
An official source at the Provincial Customs Directorate said, "The Customs Directorate has reopened the" Peshta Sartak "border crossing with Iran in front of the commercial movement.
He pointed out, "The commercial movement in both directions is proceeding naturally, while adhering to the hygienic measures to prevent corona virus."
This is the third crossing to be reopened with Iran, as the regional authorities announced last April 28 the reopening of two previous crossings with Iran in front of the trade movement, namely, “Toilah” and “Kelly”.
On February 21, security forces in the region closed the three crossings, in addition to 7 other ports with Iran, in efforts to contain Corona.
