Shafaq News / Al-Fateh Alliance headed by Hadi Al-Amri revealed on Wednesday its participation in the forthcoming strategic dialogue between Baghdad and Washington, which will draw the future of relations between the two countries.

“The most important condition that we put before Mustafa al-Kadhimi’s government is the implementation of the Iraqi parliament’s decision, which is to expel all foreign forces from Iraq,” The leader in the alliance, Saad Al-Saadi, told Shafaq News Agency.

He stressed by saying, "The application of these conditions are irreversible."

On January 5, Iraq’s parliament passed a resolution calling on the government to end all foreign troop presence in Iraq, as backlash grew after the killing of the top Iranian military commander  of "Quds Force" Qassem Soleima and the Iraqi leader of the "Popular Mobilization Forces" Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis leader in a US strike in Baghdad.

"We support the dialogue, which is expected on June 10 with the American side, and with the involvement of all political parties in this dialogue, provided that it is on the basis of preserving the sovereignty of Iraq and implementing the parliament's decision."

"We will observe and participate in the dialogue, in order to protect the sovereignty of Iraq and implement the parliament’s decision to expel all foreign forces, especially the American forces," he added.
The leader in Al-Fateh Alliance threatened, saying that " Mustafa Al-Kadhimi's government not implementing the decision of the Iraqi parliament may expose it to withdraw confidence," adding, "All options are available to us, as political forces and as resistance factions."

Al-Fateh's coalition mostly consists of political arms of armed factions, most of which have close links with Iran.

It is expected that the "strategic dialogue" to deal with the fate of the strategic framework agreement signed between the two countries in 2008, which paved the way for the expel of American forces from Iraq at the end of 2011 after 8 years of occupation, as well as the nature of the relations between the two countries at various levels.

Washington and Baghdad will also study an agreement on the fate of US forces in Iraq, as Iran presses its allies in Iraq to expel US forces from the country.

It should be noted that the Washington-led coalition, American forces have withdrawn from 6 military forces in Iraq since Soleimani and Al- Muhandis were killed. The international coalition says this is part of the relocating and withdrawing small number of soldiers from bases .
