Today, Tuesday, the Samarra Operations Command announced that security plans have been put in place to secure the days of Eid al-Adha and power transmission towers in Salah al-Din, while identifying three reasons preventing the return of displaced families to some areas.
Samarra Operations Commander Major General Ali Mithjal al-Maliki said, "The command has developed a special plan in which all units participated in the sector of responsibility represented by the Fourth Federal Police Division, as well as the controlling headquarters in Dhuluiya, Samarra and Dujail, to secure the days of the blessed Eid al-Adha."
He added that "important recreational places for citizens have been identified to be secured by the security and military forces," noting that "the plan will continue during the Eid al-Adha period."
Regarding the protection of power transmission towers, Al-Maliki stated, "The Operations Command has developed a plan to protect the power towers by involving the holding units that perform their duty to hold the land also within the responsibility sector," explaining that "the plan is to spread these units and automatic and foot patrols to secure protection for those towers, with the support of aviation." Army".
On the great Hawi area, al-Maliki confirmed that "the security forces reopened the military units in the area with the establishment of new positions for the Federal Police and the security of the Great Hawi well between the Diyala operations, the Samarra operations, and the Salah al-Din operations."
Regarding the non-return of displaced families to their areas, the commander of Samarra operations stated that "the reasons for their non-return are because there are incomplete administrative matters, and there are completely destroyed houses."
He stressed that "the families returning to their areas were inventoried and provided with entrance cards, including the village of Sayed Gharib, where 25% of the displaced were returned to it after the completion of administrative matters and services," explaining that "some returnees started to rehabilitate their orchards."
