Shafaq News/ Wasit Governor, Muhammad Jamil Al-Mayahi, confirmed on Sunday the need for about tens of thousands of job grades to install contract and daily wage employees in the governorate, indicating the mechanism for applying to the 1,000 degrees allocated by the federal government and how to select those qualified for it.
Al-Mayahi told Shafaq News Agency, "The thousand jobs allocated to the governorate are not enough to meet the needs of the governorate, which needs 30,000 employees, but we will try to take the correct measures to solve this problem."
And he indicated that "the application will be for all specialties without exception, and the differentiation will be according to the rate and the certificate, and then the admission will be distributed to the departments according to the lottery, as they will work in the governorate departments and municipalities, and the largest share will be for youth and sports."
Al-Mayahi explained that, "according to the Food Security Law, a salary of 300,000 dinars has been allocated for each contract of this thousand degree employees, for a period of three years."
On June 14, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi directed the ministries and state institutions to expedite the inventory of the names of contract employees in all departments who have a job service for two years or more in preparation for their confirmation on the permanent staff.
On May 30, the Ministry of Finance decided to include the necessary allocations for converting free lecturers and administrators in the Ministry of Education into contracts in accordance with Resolution 315, and it has no objection to implementing this, in the event the House of Representatives desires, a request to include a text authorizing the Federal Minister of Finance to create degrees for the nominees to them. Add financial allocations for the purpose of the research.
In many governorates, and throughout the previous periods, demonstrations were witnessed in which the lecturers, the daily procedure, and the contractors demanded that they be installed on the permanent staff in the ministries in which they work, the latest of which was today, after recording the injury of at least four people, during a friction that occurred between demonstrators from the free lecturers, and the law enforcement forces. Concerning the protection of the Green Zone, which includes the headquarters of the Iraqi government, after the demonstrators demanded their inclusion in Resolution 315, before the protest developed into a verbal altercation and friction with the security forces.
Resolution "315" includes mechanisms to address the status of workers as contracts and daily wages in various government institutions, which the Council of Ministers voted on in 2019.
