, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani received, on Saturday, the delegation of the United Nations Human Settlements Program / UN HABITAT, headed by the Director of the Program in Iraq, Wael Al-Ashhab.
Al-Sudani's office stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the meeting witnessed a discussion of the conditions of the displaced Iraqis of the Yazidi religion, and the most important obstacles that prevent the completion of their settlement in their historical areas," noting that "Al-Sudani received the summary of a study prepared by the program that included a population census." The Yazidis are among those who have previously received 14,000 residential plots of land since 1975, and they have not been legally owned until now, and the policies of the exterminated regime have prevented the completion of their ownership.
Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of this procedure, and that the government is working on developing a comprehensive and permanent solution to this issue, by presenting it to the Council of Ministers and taking the necessary decision in this regard."
He pointed out, "Sinjar and the tragedy that the original Iraqi Yazidi component was subjected to, are present in the minds and presented in the ministerial curriculum, in order to do justice to all those who were subjected to injustice and brutality of terrorism." Ended 29 / h.
