Al-Saffar added, "There is close cooperation with Iraq to advance the status of the electrical infrastructure, and to continue working to contribute to the distribution of more than 50% of the electricity consumed in the country, and to secure its development in this vital sector, which represents the locomotive of development in the country."
He stressed, "The company is working through a clear strategic approach to provide electric power in a sustainable and reliable manner to millions of Iraqis, as it has identified the basic requirements for the development of this vital sector, foremost of which are energy management, resource efficiency, assets, education, anti-corruption and financing alternatives."
He continued, "The company is working to supply Iraq with the latest global solutions in the field of energy, and work together to implement them, especially the shift towards renewable and sustainable energy that requires concerted efforts," noting that "the journey of renewable energy transformation requires exceptional efforts and partners that contribute to helping Iraq lead the way." the shift".
Al-Saffar pointed out that "the company signed early this year an agreement for the second phase of the energy program with the Ministry of Electricity to accelerate the pace of reliance on clean and carbon-free energy at the level of Iraq," stressing "the successful implementation of the first phase of the road map signed by Siemens in 2019."
And the general manager of the company in Iraq stated, "The next step in accelerating the national production of electricity is to rely on traditional and renewable energy, in addition to exploring new production methods such as hybrid power plants while reducing carbon emissions."
