[size=45]A statement of the Parliament, received by (Al-Mada), stated that “the House of Representatives finished yesterday, in its seventh session of its first term for the second legislative year within the fifth electoral session that was held yesterday, Sunday, headed by Shakhwan Abdullah, Deputy Speaker of the Council, reading five draft laws.” And the statement continued, “The Council, at the outset of the session, completed the first reading of the draft law of the twenty-first amendment to Employment Law No. (25) of 1960 submitted by the Finance Committee to add job titles consistent with the tasks of the Integrity Commission, equate them with their peers with the same educational qualification, and enable them to move forward in Performing the duties entrusted to them in the fight against corruption.[/size]

[size=45]The statement stressed, "The Council concluded the first reading of the draft law on statistics and geographic information systems, which was submitted by the Strategic Planning Committee and the Federal Service for Organizing Statistical Work in the Republic of Iraq."[/size]
[size=45]He explained, “This is by establishing an authority for statistics and geographic information systems that undertakes tasks related to the statistical process, such as implementing statistical operations, establishing data banks, preparing general population census works, technical supervision of the statistical process, and using information technology in statistical operations.”[/size]
[size=45]At the end of the session, Representative Faleh Al-Khazali offered condolences to the Iraqi people on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Musa bin Jaafar, peace be upon him, expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation to the security forces in all their formations, the popular crowd and service departments for accommodating the large numbers of citizens visiting the holy shrines.[/size]
[size=45]Meanwhile, the former leader of the Progress Alliance, Laith al-Dulaimi, stated that the Federal Supreme Court yesterday considered his case regarding his appeal against the decision of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi regarding the decision to accept his resignation from membership in Parliament.[/size]
[size=45]Representative Bassem Khashan, who was accompanying Al-Dulaimi during the pleading, according to what he posted on his page, said that “the Federal Court decided to include third persons in the case, to clarify from them about the resignations and blank papers that the plaintiff claimed they had handed over to Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi before the elections as a guarantee.”[/size]
[size=45]Laith Al-Dulaimi stressed, in a tweet to him, that the resignation request, on the basis of which the decision to accept his resignation was issued, was forged, pointing to the postponement of the pleadings to the sixth of next month with the aim of completing the lawsuit procedures, expressing his hope that the judiciary would issue a decision in his favor.[/size]
