The Russian company "Lukoil" announced, on Monday, that it had received approval for a request to market the reserves of the Iraqi "Eridu" field.
The company said in a press statement: “Lukoil Company announces that it has received approval from the state-owned Dhi Qar Oil Company for a request to market reserves and a preliminary proposal to develop the “Eridu” oil field within Block 10 in the Republic. of Iraq, in cooperation with INPEX Southern Iraq Limited.
Earlier, the director of the technical department at the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, Ali Ward Hammoud, confirmed that Iraq is interested in partnering with Russian oil companies, and called on Russian companies to participate in the new licensing rounds for unexplored oil patches. Ended/25h
