Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, arrived in Germany on Monday to participate in the Berlin World Economic Forum.
And Abdullah's media office stated in a statement, "In response to the invitation extended to the presidency of the Council from the Academy of Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, arrived in Germany to participate in the Berlin Economic Forum - (sustainable business and responsible investments)."
And he stated, "Abdullah will hold a series of official meetings with senior officials in the German government to strengthen bilateral relations and expand horizons of joint cooperation between Iraq and Germany."
Abdullah said, according to the statement, that "the forum is a global project that started in 2014 and will continue until 2024, in partnership with global governance organizations, national governments, leading academic institutions and multinational companies."
