    The Ministry of Planning announced, on Wednesday, that the decision of the Council of Ministers to establish new cities will include the majority of the governorates, stressing that these cities will be integrated with services that will contribute to solving the housing crisis in Iraq.
    The ministry's spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said, "The new residential cities will be integrated, and all services will be available in them, including water, sewage, electricity, schools, and health centers, in order to be attractive for housing," noting that "this step will contribute to reducing the momentum in city centers, not Especially in the capital, Baghdad.
    He stressed, "The new cities are not limited to the capital only, but will include most of the provinces, and perhaps all provinces, which will contribute to solving the housing crisis in Iraq."
    He pointed out, "The committee was formed under the chairmanship of Minister of Construction, Housing and Municipalities Benkin Rikani, and it will study the issue of new cities in all its aspects," according to the official news agency.
    He explained, "The committee's tasks will be great through the recommendations and tasks set by the Council of Ministers for this committee," adding that "the committee will submit its recommendations to the Council of Ministers, for the purpose of taking appropriate decisions in implementing the government's approach."
