Head of the engineering effort in Baghdad: This year we will complete 105 projects

Baghdad: Hussein Thaghb Al-Tamimi,
head of the engineering service effort for Baghdad Governorate, Engineer Abdul Razzaq Abdul Muhaisen, confirmed that the current year will witness the completion of 105 service projects in the capital, Baghdad, as well as other projects in various governorates.
He said in an interview with "Al-Sabah" that the projects being implemented in various neighborhoods and with the follow-up of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani have provided integrated infrastructure, which is estimated today as the work of establishing an entire governorate, as work continues at an increasing pace in all the targeted governorates.
He pointed out that all the challenges faced by the work teams were overcome, which was represented by the lack of citizen acceptance and cooperation with the teams implementing the projects at first, but after everyone felt the seriousness of the work, there was great cooperation that led to achieving a high flow in achieving the goals.
He stressed that the allocation of 500 billion dinars in the federal budget for the year 2023 will give the service effort greater flexibility in expanding the implemented projects, and will lead to raising the executive capabilities in Baghdad, for which 300 billion dinars were allocated, and the governorates, whose share was estimated at 200 billion dinars.
He pointed out that the Prime Minister supported the service effort with sums of money that were allocated to his private office, including miscellaneous items estimated at 15 billion dinars and 70 billion dinars that were allocated to several departments.
Muhaisen stated that the reality of services in the country is changing due to the ongoing service effort projects, which are constantly expanding with the citizen’s need for the projects implemented by the service effort, pointing out that the prices of residential units in the areas that witnessed the implementation of service effort projects have risen several times, and this is evidence of The reality of the situation in these areas has witnessed a real change for the better.
He explained that 14 direct implementation teams represent the service effort, consisting of Hammurabi General Company, Al-Faw General Company, and Assyria Company, in addition to the military engineering of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the Ministry of Defense, and the Federal Police. After we found a need for a greater effort, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani directed the entry of engineering teams for other ministries

He pointed out that the service effort has begun its work in Salah al-Din Governorate, and there is a plan for it to enter Babylon Governorate, with the aim of completing projects to develop the reality of services in the targeted governorates.
