    Dozens of local workers in the Majnoon field in Basra province, on Monday, to protest the decision laid off from their jobs, as they demanded them back into service and abide by the terms of the contract for the Iraqi employment appointment, said Federation of Trade Unions to sue companies that lay off local workers.
    He said one of the organizers of the demonstration, Mohammed Hassan and called in an interview with (long-Presse), said that "dozens of workers in the gas processing period from the Majnoon field to Rumaila in Basra terminal came out, today, in a demonstration in front of the plant gate in the Rumaila area, south west of Basra, in protest against the decision of the Dutch Shell company laid them off from work. "
    And Talib Hassan Shell operating in the Majnoon field to "re-employed at the plant and the appointment of local employment of people of the province, rather than foreign appointment from outside the province."
    For his part, member of the Federation of Trade Unions raised Abadi in an interview (range Press), "The oil companies contracting in the oil fields did not abide by the terms set Iraqi employment proportion of the contract which is due to be the weakness of foreign labor, with the exception of expertise not available in the local."
    Abadi said that "the labor union received numerous complaints by workers in the oil companies who have been laid off from work without any guarantees," he "filed a lawsuit against companies that lay off local workers in the Iraqi courts."
    The gas processing plant was opened two months ago in Rumaila, south west of Basra, near the Rumaila power station supplied through a tube from the Majnoon oil field to address the gas associated with oil through the Shell oil company.
