President Barham Salih discussed with the head of the border crossings organization Kazem al-Aqabi the work of the board and the obstacles it faces.
"Saleh reviewed the nature of the organization's work, its economic and security importance, and the problems and obstacles facing the organization's work during his meeting at the Peace Palace in Baghdad on Wednesday night," the statement said.
The Chairman of the Commission gave a detailed explanation of the work and role of the supervisory and supervisory authority on the border crossings by sea, land and air, stressing "the imposition of the authority of the law and the fundamentalist procedures in accordance with the instructions issued." The head of the ports authority said, "We are in the fight against corruption, smuggling and customs evasion in all ports and increase the proportion of revenues, and adopt modern methods and effective measures to address the current problems to ensure the smooth entry of passengers and goods and benefit from the financial resources of border ports as the main source of economy and the federal treasury."
