Deputy for Diyala: More than 50 thousand families in the governorate are in need of urgent humanitarian assistance

Diyala Governorate deputy Nahida Al-Daini confirmed that more than 50,000 families need urgent humanitarian assistance due to the Corona virus.
Al-Daini said in a press statement: "More than 50 thousand families are living in dire conditions, spreading in the neighborhoods of western Baquba and north of Muqdadiya and the cities of the Hamrin basin. And they urgently need humanitarian assistance, because they are the most affected by the consequences of the Corona virus and the curfew."
She added: "The families were living before the crisis of the Corona virus under the threat of poverty, and the repercussions of the virus increased their tragic situation, especially by stopping all work due to the curfew," stressing the need to secure a direct humanitarian support line for these families and distribute urgent foodstuffs, given the attainment of their humanitarian situation Tough and very cruel.
