Kurdistan Regional Government disburses financial allocations for university students
Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Kurdistan Region announced, on Friday, the start of distributing financial allocations to university and institute students, starting on Sunday, 27 March.
Tuana Najaf, director of administration and finance at the ministry, said in a statement today, that the administrative units in all universities and institutes have been notified of the distribution of financial allocations to students.
He added that all procedures have been completed, and the financial allocations will be distributed on Sunday with the resumption of official working hours in universities and institutes.
The monthly financial allowance for one university student inside the cities of the region is 40,000 Iraqi dinars, while those outside the city and living in the internal departments receive 60,000 Iraqi dinars per month.
According to the statistics of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the region, 130,000 university students receive this monthly financial support.
