Natural resources: the "Kormore" attack did not result in human and material losses, and production operations continue
Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Natural Resources in Kurdistan Region said on Friday that the missile attack that targeted the "Kumur" gas field in Sulaymaniyah did not result in any human and material losses.
The ministry stated that it had formed a joint operations room with the company "Dana Gas" investing in the field after the two attacks that affected the field recently.
The natural resources confirmed that production operations inside the field continued at the same pace and were not affected by the attack, according to "Kurdistan 24" station, which is close to the regional government.
Earlier in the day, the Kormore gas field in Sulaymaniyah was hit by a missile strike, the second of its kind in 72 hours.
On Thursday, Dana Gas announced that the first missile attack, which targeted Kormore field on Wednesday, did not cause production disruption.
According to an agreement concluded in 2007 with the authorities of the Kurdistan Region, "Dana Gas" company produces, markets and sells oil and natural gas from the Kormor and Chemchemal fields in the region.
Dana Gas also owns assets in the fields of gas exploration and production in the UAE, Egypt and the Kurdistan Region, with a production rate of 66,200 barrels of oil equivalent per day, and proven and probable gas reserves of more than one billion barrels of oil equivalent in 2019.
