A significant decrease in gold prices in the markets of Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region

Shafaq News/ Today, Sunday, (February 12, 2023), the prices of "foreign and Iraqi" gold decreased significantly in the local markets in the capital, Baghdad, and in the markets of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
Shafaq News agency reporter said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, were recorded this morning. The selling price of one 21-carat weight of Gulf, Turkish and European gold was 376 thousand dinars, and the purchase price was 372 thousand dinars, while the selling price of gold was yesterday, Saturday. 392 thousand dinars per weight.
Our correspondent indicated that the selling price of one 21-carat weight of Iraqi gold also recorded a decrease at 346 thousand dinars, and the purchase price reached 342 thousand.
With regard to gold prices in goldsmiths' shops, the selling price of 21 carat Gulf gold weight ranges between 375 thousand dinars and 385 thousand, while the selling price of Iraqi gold weight ranged between 345 thousand and 355 thousand dinars.
As for the gold prices in Erbil, they also witnessed a decrease, as the price of selling a 24-carat gold weight reached 450 thousand dinars, and a 22-carat record sold 410 thousand dinars, and a 21-carat record sold 395 thousand dinars, while an 18-carat record sold 340 thousand dinars.
One mithqal of gold is equal to (five grams).
