Earth News/ The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced, today, Saturday, that the United Nations website has praised the University of Technology's actions to protect heritage and achieve development goals, after obtaining membership in The United Nations Academic Impact UNAI.
A statement by the ministry, which was received by Earth News, stated, “In confirmation of the purposeful global integration and in accordance with the tasks undertaken by Iraqi universities in preserving the cultural and civilized environment of Iraq, especially universities that have obtained membership in the United Nations Academic Impact UNAI, the website of the international organization (https (http://www.un.org/en/academic-impact/university-actions-protecting-and-preserving-iraqi-heritage?mc_cid=fce4577f22&mc_eid=99ab047a33) commends the University of Technology for protecting and preserving Iraqi heritage by taking the initiative to establish The first unit of historical preservation technology, in compliance with the agenda and goals of sustainable development, the design of a postgraduate program within the field of architecture, and the implementation of the (UOT Virtual Museum) project to preserve and document the Iraqi heritage digitally.
In this regard, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its university institutions affirm their relentless pursuit to frame cooperation at the global level, intertwine expertise, and employ human and scientific potentials to achieve qualitative partnerships, consolidate the impact, increase academic interaction, and respond to the sustainable development strategy that extends until 2030.
